Are we there yet ? A week at The Caravelle Resort, Myrtle Beach SC

As you may have seen on my social media accounts we just got back from the amazing Caravelle Resort located in Myrtle Beach, SC.  This was our 1st ever family vacation that our family has taken as a whole other than specialist doctor visits for the kids. There are many amazing properties located in Myrtle Beach but we chose The Caravelle and I’m so glad we did.

It took us about 10 hours to get there from our home, due to potty breaks and hungry tummies. 8 Hours to get home I think they learned the lesson on the way down, less stopping means getting to the destination quicker. #AreWeThereYet

The Caravelle has been newly remodeled and its the perfect place to stay for a family. Upon checking in we headed over to our room across the street. We were located on the 1st floor which actually made life a little easier for us, my daughter uses a white cane and she didn’t have to deal with steps or an elevator. The room itself was amazing, as soon as we walked in we had a bedroom with two double beds, in the middle of the room was the kitchen/ bathroom and on the other side was a murphy bed and couch along with a dining table to eat. For a family of 6, we had plenty of room to sleep, the kitchen did get tight at times when trying to cook but that happens at home too.

Outside the patio door awaited the beach steps away, along with the Tiki Bar and pool/hot tub. You literally never have to leave the property with its onsite restaurant the Santa Maria. If you’re on a budget like we were we chose to go to the grocery store and do a little shopping and cook most of our meals in our fully equipped kitchen boasting a refrigerator/ freezer, microwave. oven, toaster, blender, silverware, and dishes.

The thing about vacation is you want to spend quality time with your loved ones and if you are like us not break the bank and we were able to do just that at The Caravelle making the most of our trip spending our days at the pool and beach. We did purchase tickets to Ripleys Aquarium thru the front desk at a discount and the kids had an absolute blast.

The memories made are priceless, for the most part, my girls all got along, they had so much fun and experienced a new state and a REAL beach.

Will we go back – YOU BETCHA!!!!!
